Recently featured on NPR's Jazz Rising Stars, New York-based trumpeter Dominick Farinacci presents an eclectic repertoire spanning global genres and generations of musical masters. Recipient of the International New Star Award, Farinacci performs music from films, original songs, and the work of some of the greatest songwriters around the world. The New York Times recognizes Farinacci as "having the prepossessing charm and lyrical instinct of a jazz pop-star," and Quincy Jones says of his musical depth, "This kid is 360 degrees!"

Dominick is a recipient of the International New Star Award (along with Diana Krall and Christian McBride), and was first discovered by Wynton Marsalis at age 17. After appearing on PBS with Marsalis, Dominick attended The Juilliard School in New York City, where he now resides.
As Artistic Director of the Young Visiting Artists Series, thecreated an innovative music outreach program for the Tommy Lipuma Center for Creative Arts in his native town of Cleveland, reaching over 3,000 kids in its inaugural year. He also is an artistic advisor for the newly established Amy Winehouse Foundation.
Currently as the leader of his own band, he tours internationally in support of his latest recordings on E1 Music. Dominick's music is passionate, adventurous, and peripatetic. As Quincy Jones aptly said, "This kid is 360 degrees!"
