Germantown Symphony Orchestra Young Artists Concert

  • Germantown Performing Arts Center Venue: Duncan-Williams Performance Hall (map)

The Germantown Symphony Orchestra presents its 23rd annual concert showcasing some of the most outstanding young musicians in the Mid-South.  The winners of the GSO's concerto competition this year are Marian Jamora (violin), Dannie Dong (marimba), and Kim Huang (violin).  Though he was also a competition winner, Eric Xie (piano) is at college so will not participate in this concert.  Each will perform his or her own competition piece with the Germantown Symphony Orchestra.

In keeping with the Halloween season, the GSO is also performing music based on Faustian bargians, hobgoblins, gypsies and Rosamunde's challenging ascension to the throne!
