Show: History to Hip Hop

Tickets: $8 per student and 1 free teacher/chaperone ticket per 10 students

History to Hip-Hop, chronicles the evolution of African-American music from the field song to hip-hop. The African-infused field song is the inspiration and the springboard for exploring other genres like gospel, country, jazz, R&B, blues, funk, and hip-hop. In this historical walk, Jonathan Blanchard celebrates the creativity of a people and the impact of African-American music on the world.
